Fire is…Life Energy
The fire triangle is a way of understanding the simple factors. Each side of the triangle represents one of the three ingredients needed to have a fire. Oxygen, Heat and Fuel. The interdependence and balance of these ingredients creates and sustains fire. When there is not enough of anyone of these ingredients the fire will die. Hence, give fuel to your fire, air for it to breathe and tend to it respectfully and carefully.
Fire has been used in Ceremonies all along the ages. Fire Walking is one of the oldest rituals that has been practiced on almost every continent. Hawaiian Kahunas walked on the molten Lava while Medicine Men used it for tapping into different worlds. For Warriors, fire walking was proof of strength, power and vitality. Shamans use it for Vision Quests and for some Spiritualists; it’s an assessment of faith and a rite of passage to the source. Our stars are filled with Gods and Goddesses of Fire that which include Agni, Hephaestus, Horus, Prometheus, Vulcan, Brigit, Pele, and Vesta.
The element of Fire is both creative and destructive. Fire is the transformer, converting energy into heat, light, ash, and smoke. It’s an active force that has been used for centuries. From our ancestors to today, we use it to warm our homes and cook our food.
Fire fuels our passions, sparking primal, sensual and sexual energies within. Fire is a masculine force that brings forth creativity, motivation, will power, change and manifestation. Physically and spiritually fire is magic used for healing, purification, transformation, breaking habits, destroying illness and disease.
